Les Invisibles | Film d’ouverture
PREMIÈRE CANADIENNE
This year, a socially minded comedy will set the tone for the 6th edition of the Festival.
Filled with hope, funny and moving, Louis-Julien Petit’s Les Invisibles (Invisibles) not only highlights the plight of homeless women but also reflects a genuine desire for social change. Alongside professional actors and actresses, Petit cast real women in the process of reintegration, thus allowing them to be part of the ensemble, to get paid, to be heard and loved.
These women had a life before the street. They have personalities, longings, and dreams. These women are you and me. It’s time to meet them this opening night.
Synopsis:
Following a municipal decision, Envol, SDF Women’s Shelter, will close. There are only three months left for social workers to reintegrate at any cost the women they care for: falsification, pistons, lies… From now on, everything is allowed!
