      FAQ’s

      PASSPORT

I’ve made my purchase, now how does the e-ticket (QR code) work?

Once you’ve made an online purchase, you will receive a PDF document with one or, if you bought several products, multiple QR codes. If you bought a Passport, you will need to validate your e-ticket (QR code) in order to receive the physical product. You can do this at either the Maison du Cinéma (63 Rue King Ouest, Sherbrooke) or the Festival office (1671 Chemin Duplessis, 2e étage, Sherbrooke).

Can’t I just show the e-ticket (QR code) I have for my Passport in order to see the film?

No. You can only access your film if you have the physical Passport in hand. In order to get the physical Passport, please go to the Maison du Cinéma’s Ticket Office or the Festival Office.

I get it. So when can I go validate my e-ticket and pick up my Passport?

The Passports will be available for pickup at the Maison du cinema or the Festival Office starting on June 22.

Does the (physical) version of the Passport allow direct entry to a screening?

No. For the screenings taking place at the Maison du Cinéma, you must go to the Ticket Office. There, upon showing your (physical) Passport, you will receive a Film Ticket. For activities taking place at other locations, you must make a reservation with the Festival.

For Passport Holders, your Passport will be stamped every time you receive a ticket (maximum 5 stamps).

Just so I understand… Why do you recommend reserving the Film Tickets in advance?

There is limited seating for all screenings and activities. We encourage you to get your ticket in advance in order to ensure you will have a seat. We strongly recommend you do this for the opening and closing films to avoid disappointments.

The number of available seats is limited, and to follow guidelines regarding social distancing, if you are absent after the first fifteen minutes of the beginning of the screening, you lose your place.

I get it! How do I reserve my film and activity tickets in advance?

Starting June 22, we invite you to go to La Maison du Cinéma box office to choose your films. Upon presentation of your physical Passport, a stamp will be made on your Passport and you will be given a film ticket.

If you can’t come to the box office in person, you may ask us to reserve a ticket by email before the event. Please email us your purchase number, the film title and your preferred screening time at [javascript protected email address] This option is only available for online purchases and if your physical Passport has not yet been picked up.

As the number of available seats is limited and we must follow guidelines regarding social distancing, sending the email does not guarantee your seat. You must ensure that you have received written confirmation from the box office for your reservation. If there are no more seats available, you will need to choose another film.

Can’t wait! When can I reserve my Film and Activity Tickets?

Film Tickets will be available at the Maison du Cinéma starting on June 22.

For all screenings in different locations, for example the Ciné-Famille at Centennial Theatre, you must purchase your ticket online at fcms.ca.

Quick question. Does the Passport give me access to all the films and activities in the programme?

Yes, with one exception: the screening of the movie Yuli on August 11.

It’s unlikely to happen, but just in case… Can I be reimbursed?

Sorry. We operate on a No refund, no exchange policy unless the Festival cinéma du monde de Sherbrooke cancels the event or screening. If that happens, you may ask for a refund. The instructions for how to do so will be available on fcms.ca/tickets.

No refunds for Passports will be given if your movie choices are sold out. We strongly recommend that you reserve your seat as soon as possible.

      FILM TICKET | OTHER VENUES

I’ve purchased my ticket, now how does the e-ticket (QR code) work?

Once you’ve made an online purchase, you will receive a PDF document with one or, if you bought several products, multiple QR codes. Each Festivalgoer will be asked to show their ticket at the door. You can either use the e-ticket directly on your phone or print it out.

Do we need to make a reservation for the free screenings?

      Yes!

You will not be admitted without a reservation. You must make your reservation on fcms.ca. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the screening.

      CINÉ-FAMILLE

Who can access the 6$ Family tickets?

Everybody! This rate is for everyone, from 0 to 150 years old! All are welcome and you do not need to be accompanied by a child to have access to this rate.
