FAQ’s

PASSPORT (REGULAR AND SPECIAL RATE)

I’ve made my purchase, now how does the e-ticket (QR code) work?

Once you’ve made an online purchase and depending on the number of products you have bought, you will receive a PDF document with one or several QR codes. If you have bought a Passport, you will need to validate your e-ticket (QR code) in order to receive the physical product. You can do this either at the Maison du Cinéma (63 Rue King Ouest, Sherbrooke) or the Festival office (1671 Chemin Duplessis, 1st floor, door 114 Sherbrooke).

Can’t I just show the e-ticket (QR code) I have for my Passport in order to see the film?

No. You can only access your film or activity if you have the physical Passport in hand. In order to receive the Passport, please go to the Maison du Cinéma’s Ticket Office or the Festival Office.

I get it. So when can I go validate my e-ticket and pick up my Passport or Unlimited Access Pass?

The Passports will be available for pickup at the Maison du cinema or the Festival Office starting on March 11, 2026.

Does the (physical) version of the Passport allow direct entry to a screening or an activity?

No. For the screenings taking place at the Maison du Cinéma, you must go via the Ticket Office. There, upon showing your (physical) Passport you will receive a Film Ticket. For activities taking place in other locations, you simply need to go to the FCMS Mobile Ticket Office on site and show them your Passport.

For Passport Holders, your Passport will be stamped every day you receive a ticket (between 5 to 10 times depending on the option you will have chosen).

Just so I understand… Why do you recommend reserving the Film and Activity Tickets in advance?

There is limited seating for all screenings and activities. We encourage you to get your ticket in advance in order to ensure you will have a seat. We strongly recommend you do this for the opening and closing films to avoid disappointment

I get it! How do I reserve my film and activity tickets in advance?

Starting March 11, we invite you to go to La Maison du Cinéma box office to choose your films or activity. Upon presentation of your physical Passport, a stamp will be made on your Passport  and you will be given a film or activity ticket (up to 5 or 10 tickets depending on the chosen formula).

Can’t wait! When can I reserve my Film and Activity Tickets?

Film Tickets will be available at the Maison du Cinéma starting on March 11. Activity Tickets can also be picked up at the Festival Office.

Quick question. Does the Passport give me access to all the films and activities in the program?

Yes, with one exception: the Ciné-Concert.

It’s unlikely to happen, but just in case… Can I be reimbursed?

Sorry. We operate on a No refund, no exchange policy unless the Festival cinéma du monde de Sherbrooke cancels the event or screening. If that happens, you may ask for a refund. The instructions for how to do so will be available on fcms.ca/tickets.

No refunds for Passports will be given if your movie choices are sold out. We strongly recommend that you reserve your seat as soon as possible.

ACTIVITY TICKETS

I’ve purchased my ticket, now how does the e-ticket (QR code) work?

Once you’ve made an online purchase, you will receive a PDF document with one or, if you bought several products, multiple QR codes. Each Festivalgoer will be asked to show their ticket at the door. You can either use the e-ticket directly on your phone or print it out.
