When the Syrian revolution broke out, the regime of Bashar Al-Assad saw Yarmouk a refuge of rebels and resistance, and set up a siege from 2013 on. Gradually deprived of food, medicine and electricity, Yarmouk was cut of the rest of the world. Abdallah Al-Khatib was born in Yarmouk and lived there until his expulsion by Daesh in 2015. Between 2011 and 2015, he and his friends documented the daily life of the besieged inhabitants, who decided to face bombing, displacement and hunger with rallying, study, music, love and joy. Hundreds of lives that were irremediably transformed by war and siege, from Abdallah’s mother who turned into a nurse taking care of the elders of the camp, to the fiercest activists whose passion for Palestine got gradually undermined by hunger…

Little Palestine, journal d’un siège est un journal filmé qui suit le destin des civils pendant le siège brutal, imposé par le régime syrien, suite à ces batailles. Abdallah Al-Khatib compose un chant d’amour à un lieu qui résiste avec dignité aux atrocités de la guerre.
Noura Dreams
5 jours, c’est le temps qu’il reste avant que le divorce entre Noura et Jamel, un détenu récidiviste, ne soit prononcé. Noura qui rêve de liberté pourra alors vivre pleinement avec son amant Lassad. Mais Jamel est relâché plus tôt que prévu, et la loi tunisienne punit sévèrement l’adultère : Noura va alors devoir jongler entre son travail, ses enfants, son mari, son amant, et défier la justice…

An independent woman, Noura is raising her three children alone, working in a hospital laundry to make ends meet. While her husband Sofiane is back in jail, she meets Lassad, the love of her life. Forced to hide their relationship – if it were discovered, they would face 5 years in prison – Noura petitions for divorce but just days before it is granted, the lovers’ dream of a life together is threatened by Sofiane’s imminent release.
