Best of Annecy | Films d’animation
Le Festival international du film d’animation d’Annecy se déplace dans le monde entier avec son programme Best of Annecy 2025 qui rassemble une sélection de courts métrages issus de la dernière édition, dont une majorité de films primés et un générique réalisé par les élèves de deuxième année de l’école GOBELINS Paris. Au programme : Virtuoso de Basile DIERAERT, Ayse Zeynep DIREK, Charlie GERTHOFFER, Anna MEZZANOTTE et Chloe SCHAF (GOBELINS Paris)Liszt, pianiste hongrois virtuose et extravagant, interprète l’une de ses œuvres à l’Opéra de Budapest, bousculant les codes du concert classique et provoquant chez les spectateurs, à la fois déconcertés et fascinés, une incursion dans l’abstraction des sensations. Zwermen de Janneke SWINKELS et Tim FRIJSINGER (Pays-Bas, Belgique) – 12 minPiet, un vieil homme en maison de soins, se trouve limité dans ses actions quand il commence soudainement à se transformer en oiseau. Bien qu’il soit toujours accepté dans le groupe, il ressent qu’il est temps de rejoindre une nouvelle volée. At Night* de Pooya AFZALI (Iran) – 4 minAu milieu de la guerre, un homme contemple sa bien-aimée à la lueur des trois dernières allumettes qu’il lui reste. Puis, dans le noir absolu, une forêt grandit de leur amour et les protège de la guerre. Sappho de Rosana URBES (Brésil) – 12 minLa poétesse Sappho vécut sur l’île de Lesbos vers 600 av. J.-C. The Annecy International Animation Film Festival travels the world with its Best of Annecy 2025 program, which brings together a selection of short films from the last edition, including a majority of award-winning films and an opening sequence created by second-year students at GOBELINS Paris. The program includes : Virtuoso by Basile DIERAERT, Ayse Zeynep DIREK, Charlie GERTHOFFER, Anna MEZZANOTTE and Chloe SCHAF (GOBELINS Paris)Liszt, the Hungarian virtuoso and extravagant pianist, performs one of his works at the Budapest Opera, shaking up the codes of the classical concert and provoking in the audience—both bewildered and fascinated—an incursion into the abstraction of sensations. Zwermen by Janneke SWINKELS and Tim FRIJSINGER (Netherlands, Belgium) – 12 minPiet, an elderly man living in a care home, finds his actions increasingly limited when he suddenly begins to transform into a bird. Although he remains accepted within the group, he feels it is time to join a new flock. At Night* by Pooya AFZALI (Iran) – 4 minAmid the war, a man gazes at his beloved by the light of the last three matches he has left. Then, in absolute darkness, a forest grows from their love and shields them from the war. Sappho by Rosana URBES (Brazil) – 12 minThe poet Sappho lived on the island of Lesbos around 600 BC. Scattered over time, her poems left behind only about 200 fragments. The breath of nature, omnipresent in her poetry, guides the film’s aesthetics and narrative.
