Ils sont parvenus en Allemagne, mais ont été expulsés vers Belgrade. Strahinya travaille dur pour obtenir l’asile, comme joueur de football dans un club local et comme bénévole pour la Croix-Rouge. La procédure est longue et Ababuo, jeune femme passionnée qui voudrait devenir actrice à Londres, se sent insatisfaite. Alors que Ramin commençait à profiter de ses vacances, leur demande d’asile est rejetée. Ils font alors appel et tentent de vaquer à leurs occupations quotidiennes dans un esprit positif alors que le danger de la déportation plane au-dessus de leurs têtes.

Onenight, a new group of Syrian refugees arrive, on their way to Western Europe. One of them is Ali, acharismatic left-wing activist. Ababuo initially mocks him, but, the very next day, leaves Serbia with him,providing no explanation. Strahinya sets off along the Balkan migrant route for completely differentreasons than anyone else: for love. A re-imagining of the medieval Serbian epic poem BanovichStrahinya in which contemporary African migrants take the place of Serbian national heroes. Official selection – Berlinale Generation 2021 13 year old Ramin Mehdipour and his Iranian family have been living in a refugee centre in Finland. Just as Ramin starts to enjoy the school holidays, the family receives the terrible news their asylum appli-cation has been denied. The Mehdipours file a final appeal, and they continue with their everyday lives, trying to keep a positive attitude despite the looming danger of deportation. As Ramin starts the new school year, every moment, every friendship will be more precious than ever.

That’s when Ninjababy, an animated character who insists on making Rakel’s everyday life a living hell, turns up. He climbs out from her note book, jumps into her tea cup, and keeps reminding her what a terrible person she is.

Un jour, son agent d’intégration lui trouve un emploi comme concierge dans un gym de boxe. Le fait de voir toutes ces jeunes boxeuses remplies de confiance fait alors naître quelque chose en elle…
