Mohammed Marouazi

Mohammed Marouazi is a Canadian-Moroccan director and actor who trained as an actor and director at the Rabat Institute of Dramatic Arts. He has made several short films, including Plus qu’une vie, La Baraka, and Ombres et Lumières, before directing his first feature film, Enterrement en Sursis (2026), a comedy-drama produced by Atlantide Ciné. His films explore themes of memory, loyalty, and reconciliation through a deeply human lens rooted in contemporary Moroccan culture. Nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for his performance in Respire (2023), Marouazi continues his demanding work as an actor and writer between Montreal and Casablanca.
