Trois-Rivières, 1930s. A woman separated from her husband of eleven years takes him back into her home when her concubine dies. He brings with him the three little girls he had from his second marriage.

Bernard Émond Réalisateur
Bernard Émond, filmmaker and author, was born in Montreal in 1951. After studying anthropology, he directed several documentaries before moving on to fiction. He has written and directed nine feature films, including La neuvaine (2005), La donation (2009), and Pour vivre ici (2018). His latest film is Une femme respectable (2023). He is also the author of a novel, 20h17 rue Darling, which he adapted for the cinema, a collection of short stories, Quatre histoires de famille, and two collections of essays: Il y a trop d'images and Camarade ferme ton poste. He lives in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli.
