Au-delà de la lumière
En l’absence de son mari, qui travaille en Allemagne, l’infirmière Prabha partage son appartement de Mumbai avec Anu, une jeune collègue qui vit une histoire d’amour clandestine avec Shiaz, un musulman de son âge. Deux événements auront pour effet de rapprocher la stricte Prabha de la délurée et insouciante Anu. D’abord, l’arrivée d’un colis contenant un autocuiseur envoyé d’Allemagne. Ensuite, un voyage impromptu des deux colocataires dans le village natal d’une consoeur de travail, évincée de son logement par des promoteurs immobiliers. Durant ce calme séjour au bord de la mer, Anu pourra enfin faire l’amour avec Shiaz, qui l’a discrètement suivie là-bas. Et Prabha, faire enfin la paix avec son passé. Dans l’hiver sec et froid. Le vent souffle et souffle dans les paysages sans fin. Un chasseur est disparu depuis quelques jours. Sans signe de vie, le village envoie leur meilleure trackeuse (Megan Saunders) dans l’espoir de le retrouver. Avant son départ, elle se remémore la vieille légende locale : « Seul en hiver, vous trouverez des bêtes inconnues des hommes. Ceux qui frémissent dans les rivières. Cachés dans la neige. Et gémissent dans le vent qui souffle… Seul en hiver, tu seras perdu. » Déconseillé aux jeunes enfants.
She Saw The Wind
In the dry and cold winter. The wind blows and blows in the endless landscapes. A hunter has been missing for a few days. With no sign of life, the village sends their best tracker (Megan Saunders) in hope of finding him. Before leaving, she remembers the old local legend: “Alone in Winter you shall find beasts unknown to men. Those that quiver in the rivers. Lurking in the snow. And moan on the blowing wind…Alone in winter, you shall be lost.” Not recommended for young children.
