The activity will take place at Studio 13, where a set will be built to film a scene that will be broadcast live on a monitor. The activity is intended for filmmakers who would like to learn more about directing actors on camera.

Charles Binamé Réalisateur | Eldorado Films
Charles Binamé is a filmmaker renowned for the human strength and rigor of his vision. His works have left a lasting mark on Quebec cinema, including Maurice Richard, Séraphin, un homme et son péché, Eldorado, and Le Piège américain. His career combines artistic excellence, storytelling skill, and the ability to lead ambitious projects that are meaningful and culturally impactful. He is a member of the Ordre national du Québec, a distinction that highlights his overall contribution, without ever defining his creative commitment on its own.

Pascale Rousseau Filmmaker, designer, and cultural mediator
Pascale Rousseau is currently expanding her role as a content producer at Productions du Rapide-Blanc, where she works on auteur documentaries. She can also be found on film sets as an art director or on stage as a cultural mediator (Les Choux Bizz at the UdeS Cultural Center and Je découvre mon Cinéma at the Maison du Cinéma) . As a graphic designer, she has created numerous theater and film posters. Also a screenwriter and director, her film Laura au printemps won the Pierre Javaux Award at the FCMS in 2023. Laurent Beauchemin Directeur photo
Laurent Beauchemin has worked in television for over 40 years, primarily as a director of photography on documentaries and television dramas. In recent years, he has filmed approximately 500 episodes of daily soap operas. He has also directed some 30 episodes of the series District 31 and STAT, as well as the children’s series Drazilion. At the same time, he has written about fifteen sketches for the series Les Parent. Basically, he’s a storyteller. He currently teaches television at UQAM and will soon begin work on the fifth season of the series STAT for Radio-Canada/Aetios as director of photography.

Hubert Lemire Actor and Artistic Director of the Théâtre du Double Signe
Since graduating from the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal in 2005, Hubert Lemire has appeared as an actor in nearly forty theater productions. Hubert co-founded Théâtre DuBunker in 2005 and served as its artistic director from 2010 to 2021. The company toured 25 European cities with *Le NoShow*, a multi-award-winning production for which the company received the CALQ Award for Best International Tour in 2016. From 2017 to 2022, he chaired the board of directors of the Association of Theater Companies.
