The 11th edition of the Festival cinéma du monde de Sherbrooke has just come to a close, and now we know the big winners! The Cercle d’or Meilleur long métrage de fiction (Best Fiction Feature Film), the Cercle d’or Meilleur documentaire (Best Documentary), presented by TV5, and the Prix Coup de cœur du public, presented by Radio-Canada, were all awarded.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
The international competition jury, chaired by Pierre Curzi and including Johane Lelièvre, Samuel Gagnon, Nathalie Plaat and Sonia Bolduc, announced the big winners of the 2024 edition at the Closing Ceremony:
The Cercle d’or Meilleur long métrage de fiction was awarded to Marie Amachoukeli’s ÀMA GLORIA, distributed by K-Films Amérique.
The jury also gave a special mention to Fysal Boulifa’s LES DAMNÉS NE PLEURENT PAS.
The Cercle d’or Meilleur documentaire, presented by TV5, was awarded to Asmae El Moudir’s LA MÈRE DE TOUS LES MENSONGES, distributed by Autlook Films.
The jury also gave a special mention to Kaouther Ben Hania’s LES FILLES D’OLFA, distributed by Métropole Films.

We take this opportunity to remind you that the Prix Pierre-Javaux – Meilleur court métrage de l’Estrie was won by Jean-Sébastien Dutil’s film P’TIT BOUDDHA in the regional competition.
PRIX COUP DE CŒUR DU PUBLIC, presented by radio-canada
Throughout this 11th edition, festival-goers were invited to vote for their favorite film, and it is Kaouther Ben Hania’s LES FILLES D’OLFA, distributed by Métropole Films, that won the Prix Coup de coeur du public.
This brings to a close the 11th edition of the Festival cinéma du monde de Sherbrooke. The entire FCMS team thanks you for coming in such large numbers, and for making so many wonderful encounters possible.
