Thierry Loa is a film-maker and intermedia artist based in Montreal. After studying multimedia art, philosophy, film-making and geography, he worked in several visual and media disciplines on a wide variety of projects, such as narrative and interactive films, video installations, new media design and photography. In 2018, he completed his first feature film, 20 22 Omega (111 min.), a “civilizational symphony” which explores posthumanism in the Anthropocene epoch. He is now working on the sequel, 21 22, a 360° VR film which will delve further into the Anthropocene. His fields of interest include art, cinema, literature, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, geography, technology, and medium theory.
