Sylvie Van Brabant is at the head of Productions du Rapide-Blanc since 1984 as a director and producer. This independent production company has become a platform for social, political and artistic works that are pertinent, eloquent and poetic, daring to tackle controversial issues as well as give the public films with deep cultural and social values. Several films have garnered the top award for documentary films in Quebec, as well as in Canada. Most importantly many of these films have also confirmed her greatest commitment and brought about change in Quebec society.
