Mélanie Charbonneau
As part of the first generation of Youtubers, Mélanie was the first talent in Quebec to reach one million online visits with a humorous video entitled L’Anti Kamasutra in 2006. The web series The Interns she co-wrote and directed was nominated in the “Best Webseries of Humor” category at the 2015 Gemini Awards Gala. For the past 10 years, Mélanie Charbonneau has made her mark as a director in Quebec thanks to numerous large-scale projects. Films, web series, or advertisements, all of her achievements have in common an approach filled with humor and humanity. LUNAR-ORBIT RENDEZVOUS, her latest short film, was screened in the official competition at the Locarno Festival in 2018, then presented in around forty other international festivals, where it won numerous awards, including the Solveig Anspash in Iceland.
