Fabiola Pierre Monty

Directrice de la photographie

Fabiola Pierre Monty is an emerging director of photography based in Montreal. Trained in photography at Cégep du Vieux Montréal, she quickly turned her attention to moving images, developing a vision that is both aesthetic and deeply human. In 2019, she co-directed the photography for Brigitte Poupart’s documentary À travers tes yeux, shot in Haiti, a landmark project that allowed her to develop her interest in video production while retracing her own history. Her versatile background has led her to evolve in a variety of artistic and cultural environments, notably at the Compagnie Transthéâtre, where she helped promote the work of performing artists through content creation. She has also enriched her practice through internships as a camera assistant, while collaborating on numerous fiction and documentary projects. Curious and creative, Fabiola Pierre Monty draws inspiration from her travels, her interest in the performing arts, and her encounters with others. This approach has given rise to an authentic visual language focused on the human experience.
