Antoine Boulanger
Antoine Boulanger is an instinctive, image-driven director. Born in Sherbrooke, he discovered cinema at the age of 11. It wasn’t a choice, but an impulse. Self-taught, he learned alongside local mentors before forging his own vision by shooting relentlessly. Later, he refined his approach at Concordia University, not to learn, but to feed his creative fire. His films are quests for ideals in motion, where opposing characters meet – sometimes in harmony, often in conflict. Nature is omnipresent, and aerospace references resonate like a call to infinity. Each shot is designed to tell a story, to thrill, never to fill. His work is internationally acclaimed. In 2022, his music video Holiday won him the Canadian Screen Awards. Today, he continues his momentum with a fiction series in development, a feature film in writing and a series of short films and music videos in the works. It’s in the creative chaos that he feels alive.
