When his hairdressing salon is destroyed by the municipality, Romeo must leave the high street of Toamasina for neighbourhoods. He then settles in a little makeshift, but dreams of being able one day to build a permanent salon. Meanwhile, this tiny open space on the street echoes the outside, the daily news, the population’s hopes and angers in a country of poverty and corruption.
