Born to Be Blue starring Ethan Hawke is a powerful re-imagining of jazz legend Chet Baker’s fall and rebirth in the 60’s. When Chet stars in a film about himself, a romance quickly heats up with his beautiful and enigmatic African American co-star, Jane. Production is shelved when Chet is jumped in an alleyway and suffers a beating that means he may never play music again, but Jane challenges Chet to mount a musical comeback against all the odds.
