“Une saison de myrtilles et d’airelles (Apollinaire à Stavelot)” is a 52-minute docu-drama that tells us a parenthesis in the life of the poet Guillaume Apollinaire: his stay in Stavelot from mid-July to 5 October 1899. He is 19 years old and lives at the Pension Constant, with his younger brother Albert, where they were introduced as Russian barons by their mother’s lover. Penniless, Guillaume spends his days walking around, picking mushrooms, attend local festivals, getting interested in Walloon, going to some cafes, taking part in the life of Stavelotains and falling in love with the young Maria Dubois.
