Come attend the screening of three regional short films followed by a discussion with the filmmakers.

In a frank yet relaxed discussion, director and screenwriter Anh Minh Truong (Des hommes, la nuit) will provide a constructive analysis of the works, considering the highly competitive global and Quebec short film landscape.

Hosted by Jean-Sébastien Dutil, director and screenwriter

On the program:

Une danse pour deux by Matthew Gaines – 5 min
A man wakes up in a car, trapped in a time loop. With the help of a young woman trapped with him, he must confront a masked man over and over again. When the loop breaks, it’s too late to go back.

La promotion by Jonathan Goyette – 8 min
A woman wakes up to the nightmare of a double murder. But is it just a dream?

Ignacio by Justin Beaulieu – 12 min
Beneath his militant exterior, an orphan harbors deep wounds. Ignacio is preparing for the fight of his life. As he exposes the horrors perpetrated during Guatemala’s armed conflict, he reveals the tragedy that led to his adoption. Behind this terrible discovery, Ignacio has found hope: the hope of finding the family that never abandoned him. His strongest dream is now possible.

An activity presented in collaboration with the Conseil de la culture de l’Estrie
