Watch Xavie Bourgeault-Dallaire’s documentary Va vers toi and then join a post-screening discussion led by psychologist Nathalie Plaat with Anne Marie Tapp of Nouvelles racines. This is a film which speaks about the importance of seeking your own inner wisdom rather than looking for external solutions.

Nathalie Plaat
Nathalie Plaat is a clinical psychologist, author, and columnist for Le Devoir newspaper. She also co-created Ciné-Moi, a Festival cinéma du monde de Sherbrooke activity that combines mental health and cinema. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the CERC at the Université de Sherbrooke. In 2023, Somme toute/Le Devoir published her book Chroniques d'une main tendue - Courtepointes et autres récits de soi. Faced with our modern-day psychological challenges, she invites us to move away from the standard pathological analysis of the human condition.

Anne Marie Tapp
Anne Marie Tapp is a religiologist, research assistant and humanist. She is also studying for a masters at the Université de Sherbrooke’s Centre d'études du religieux contemporain (Centre for contemporary religion). She specialises in deconversion and sectarian movements in Quebec and is particularly interested in the role women play in these environments. She is often invited to speak to the media to help vulgarize religious topics.
