Come celebrate the cinema with a uniquely human musical experience!

Let yourself be dazzled by the talent of Guy St Pierre, nominated in 2015 for the Gémeaux award for Best Original Music: Fiction, and again at the 2017 ADISQ Gala. His project JE SUIS (I Am) is a collection of musical compositions played in step with the images moving on the screen in order to highlight the day-to-day existence of nine extraordinary ordinary people!

Again displaying a contemplative creative approach, JE SUIS is Guy St-Pierre’s second live-music film. After Concerto pour caméra et piano was presented at the Rialto Theatre in Montreal and at the Théâtre de la Ville in Longueuil in 2012 with nine musicians on stage, Guy St Pierre received additional grants in 2013 from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Conseil des Arts de Longueuil. These allowed him to develop new projects consisting of silent films accompanied by live music.

For this career composer, “real life,” as mundane as it may seem, can be a source of extraordinary inspiration because of its authenticity.

On this occasion, you will see and hear an original performance by Guy St Pierre at the piano, with Élisabeth Giroux on the cello and François Pilon on the violin and the mandolin.
