From June 3 to 10, the Festival cinéma du monde de Sherbrooke will present the digital portion of its 8th edition. The program of 25 films from 18 countries and various virtual activities will be streamed from fcms.ca.
We are starting the summer with 20 feature-length fiction and documentary films, a program of 5 short films, a screening of regional works presented in partnership with BEAM (Bureau estrien de l’audiovisuel et du multimédia) as well as two conferences open to the Canadian public for the duration of the Festival.
Discussions with directors will also be presented on the FCMS Facebook page. You will also be able to discover the first episodes of “Artisans d’ici et d’ailleurs” available as podcasts at fcms.ca.
Each feature film and the regional shorts program are available for 7 $ (taxes included). The virtual activities are free.
To make the fun last longer and allow you to enjoy quality films despite the public-health restrictions, we will be holding a weekly in-person activity in July and August.
“Les Estivales du FCMS” will offer three film screenings every Thursday during these months at La Maison du Cinéma. Various others activities will round out this program. We will present the details of this initiative in June.
Now is the time to plan your virtual screenings!
